Recently I had the pleasure of doing this beautiful bridesmaid's makeup at a recent wedding at Balbirnie House in Markinch, Fife. Abigail suffers from bad acne and was very kind to let me take 'before and after' pictures of her to show the difference makeup can make. I'm so grateful for her to let me do this as I was so happy with the results and glad I can show them off. I also think you can see massive difference in how she felt about herself before and after the makeup, she looks radiant and full of confidence in the after photo! I hope you like! x
I've not listed all products but a brief list is as follows: Skin: Dermalogica Active Moist moisturiser, MAC Prep + Prime Skin primer, MAC Prep + Prime CC COlour Correcting Neutralise primer, MAC Studio Fix foundation, MAC Pro Longwear Concealer. Lips: MAC Honeylove lipstick. Eyes: Ardell Demi Wispies lashes I'm always very grateful to receive professional photos from my past brides and these were so stunning that I had to share them all. Stunning photography as always from Lifetime Photography. Thank you Emma and your bridesmaids for making my job so easy by being so beautiful to apply makeup to! x
I am absolutely delighted to say that I am a finalist in the Scottish Vows awards this year in the make up artist category!! The awards ceremony is being he'd on the 9th November where I will find out whether I have won or not. I am so thankful to my clients over this year who have taken their time out to nominate me as this award is all based on customer service from client voting! Keep your fingers crossed for me! x
A long time again since my last post (please see Facebook for more recent picture updates etc). My baby is now just over 4 months old and is taking up a lot of my free time!! I've been focusing on my weddings recently but had a night out makeup client yesterday so thought I'd post her photos for a wee change from my bridal work. Hope you like! x
A few months ago I had the pleasure of doing the bridal makeup for Andrea and her wedding party. They got married at the gorgeous venue Rufflets in St Andrews, Fife. Taking pictures of the day was the talented Lyndsey Philip Photography and Andrea kindly sent me over a few from the day, including one of me with my little pregnant bump, before it got massive!! x
A few weeks ago I did the makeup for Lacey and her bridal party, at Airth Castle. Lacey had travelled from Canada for her dream wedding in a castle! Lacey and her bridal party were all so lovely and I loved being part of their day. I was heavily pregnant at this point and it was one of my last weddings before my little boy came - I do not miss working whilst so pregnant, it was tough! Lacey actually sent me over a photo of me doing the makeup which shows my big bump, but I think I look awful in it so I'm not putting it online! Anyway, here are some photos that Lacey kindly sent over to me of some of the girls who's makeup I did that day, and also an amazing review which she left for me on The Scottish Wedding Directory website. x
"Planning our wedding from Canada, I knew I wanted to book high quality vendors with amazing references. I was lucky enough to come across Natalie Ryan’s online profile and when I say her style I just knew I had to book her! We were not able to do trials as we didn’t travel until a few days before the wedding. This however was not a problem. Natalie communicated via email very efficiently and received inspirational photos for makeup. She was able to take into account all of our different skin types and perfectly match the style and tones we were looking for! She was easy to get along with and very polite! Was even so flexible to take on an additional guests makeup at our wedding. She was an absolute pleasure to work with and I could not be more happy to have found, booked and met her! She is an amazing individual with the up most professional approach! If you are reading this review in an effort to find an amazing makeup artist – stop reading – and go book Natalie!!" - Lacey Robertson Recently I did the makeup for Jakki and her wedding party at Fernie Castle in Fife. It was a beautiful day, beautiful venue and a beautiful bride! I had a good laugh with Jakki and really enjoyed being part of her day, hope you like her makeup. Thank you Jakki for sending me these photos over xx
So I'm going to be a little quiet on here as I had a beautiful baby boy last week! I will still be answering all makeup enquiries but I ask that you do these either via email or Facebook as I likely won't be able to answer my phone much for a little while - but being awake through the night with the baby means I can reply to emails and messages quickly!
My diary is extremely full until end of October this year, and next summer is filling up quickly too so don't leave it too late to enquire about your date. Thanks, Natalie x A lot of bridesmaids worry that they will have to have exactly the same look as each other, giving up their own sense of style and what they feel comfortable with. I've chosen these two bridesmaid's pictures to show you how you can have a similar makeup theme for your bridal party without everyone looking the same, hence the bridesmaids feeling more comfortable and like themselves. There were four bridesmaids at this wedding and we used the same colours on the eyes, cheeks and lips for everyone, with the colours tying in with the style and colours of the wedding. One of the girls here had a full coverage foundation with a matte finish, and had a heavier/more dramatic eye makeup style. The second girl had a natural coverage foundation with a dewy finish, and soft natural eyes. So you can see here how you can ensure the bridal party tie in their look with each other whilst still keeping their own preference and style.
For the lips we used MAC Faux lipstick. On the eyes we used MAC eyeshadows in Wedge and Brun, and MAC Pro Longwear eyeshadows in Make Your Mark and Sweet Satisfaction. We also used MAC Chromaline gel liner in BlackBlack and Ardell Demi Wispies strip lashes. x |
